Union Street
Glass, Inc., is internationally recognized for beauty and
excellence in art glass, crystal stemware, barware, and
accessories. With innovative, versatile designs, their pieces move
easily from casual to elegant table settings. Guy and Leanne
Corrie hope
their artistic impressions will provide collectors years of
enjoyment and become family heirlooms appreciated and passed on
from generation to generation. At the beginning of their
careers, Guy and Leanne envisioned a company that brought together
the highest creativity with excellence in quality. They hoped,
through their artistic interpretations, to reach a broad audience
that ultimately would share their passion for glass blowing. That
dream has been realized through Union Street Glass, Inc., where
they have continued to stretch the boundaries of tradition. The
husband and wife team have operated their studio since 1980. Guy Corrie is the designer and glassblower. He has won numerous awards
for his designs and has been collected by the Corning Museum of
Glass. Leanne Corrie oversees all business aspects of the studio.

Deborah Buress
Accessories
Deborah
Buress has been working with fused glass for 5 years although
glass fusing dates back to the ancient Egyptians and the methods
haven’t changed much in 5000 years. Every glass piece is made by
layering at least two pieces of glass and then put in a kiln and
heated at temperatures of about
1500 degrees Fahrenheit at which point the pieces fuse together
and become one piece. The glass is then cooled to room
temperature. Then the glass is put into a mold and refired in the
kiln to form the desired shape. You will notice little bubbles in
the glass. These occur as the glass literally begins to boil when
it is fused. They look
like fish bubbles in the ocean. Due to this process, none of the
pieces are ever the same. Deborah works in glass while she is in
Martha’s Vineyard and Delray Beach. She uses a beautiful palette
of colors reminiscent of the oceans she lives near. All of her
pieces are signed and dated. The tableware can be put in the
dishwasher or microwave and are very user friendly. Click here to see more of Deborah's work in our Accessories
Gallery.
