The Seattle Interior Show: The Homeowner’s Style Barometer

Billed as the “largest consumer interior design event on the West Coast,” Glass Artists Gallery displayed over 30 of their artists' works in a 10' x 10' booth at this October 2003 show to conduct some valuable market research. “It was extremely helpful to hear from the end consumers which glass products they preferred,” founder Jack Healy reports.  The biggest hits? “People were paying the closest attention to the lighting, glass sinks and glass fixtures such as the glass cabinet knobs.  Ed Pennebaker's glass light fixture, which resembled a sea anemone, was probably the most talked about item, and drew about 60% of the visitors to our booth.” According to Suzanne Guttman, consumers were overwhelmed by the versatility of glass from a functional perspective.

TODL.com Delivers

A portion of the Glass Artists Resource catalog is now listed on TODL.com (Trade Only Directory Listings) with 250 of their artists' works represented.  Since joining, the listings have resulted in at least an inquiry a day.

TODL.com was born out of necessity. Its founder, Stacey Tiveron, was tired of the shelf real estate given to bulky binders and decided electronic catalogs were the better approach.  Up to 12,000 trade-only users pay a modest fee to use her site as a manufacturer's resource. Now Glass Artists Gallery is one of them.

This listing is not meant to replace the extensive library of work found on the Glass Artists Gallery website (www.GlassArtistsGallery.com), where you will find over 1000 images in the galleries.   However, TODL.com raises awareness to its regular users that our resource of more than 65 glass artists exists.
